  • In 2011 an F5 Tornado that devastated town of Joplin, Missouri. Overall, the tornado killed 158 people, injured some 1,150 others, and caused damages amounting to a total of $2.8 billion. It was the deadliest tornado to strike the United States since 1947, and the seventh-deadliest overall.
  • In June of 2014 a tornado outbreak occurred with destructive tornadoes touching down across parts of Nebraska, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.  Several communities were decimated causing damage to life and property.

Statistics have shown that the last two calendar years (2013 & 2014) have recorded historically low tornado counts, though they did happen with devastating results.  Sooner or later the United States will turn in a “normal” or above normal tornado season and with it extensive destruction of property and lives; property and lives of your policy holders… and possibly that of your offices and staff.
